DIY Crepe Flower decoration

Posted on August 16, 2013 by Scene Setter

If you like easy DIY tutorials that can be done in front of the TV with a cup of tea, then these crepe paper flowers are just the ticket. These are an effective DIY table top decoration or favour and unlike most wedding DIY tutorials these are actually inexpensive. We will however give you the heads up, while easy peasy to make if you want to accumulate a lot of flowers then you will need to invest the time!

We used our crepe flowers to decorate our photo props basket making it a feature rather than simple storage.

Pinch the end and twist, pleating the crepe as you go.

Keep on going until the flower feels full, secure at the bottom with tape and arrange the petals to suit.

Use these flowers creatively, as mini table bouquets, church pew decoration or why not tie to ribbon and use as hanging decoration? Our favourite ideas are below; flower heart wreaths, jam jar tealight holders and sweetie bag favour decoration.

We used crepe paper from the sorbet collection however we do sell single colours if you have a particular colour theme.
